"What appealed to me about competing was the individual sport. It's on me. What I made of it. I like the idea of everybody starting at an equal spot. Everyone starts off as a novice competitor and you have to work your way up. And that doesnt mean you're going to finish equal because typically the hardest worker in the room is gonna finish ahead of everybody else. I was willing the price no matter what it took. I wanted to be the last man standing on stage."
Branch walked into Metroflex Arlington back in 1992. He couldn't afford a membership. He talked to Brian Dobson and told him he wanted to compete in his show at the end of the Summer. Branch offered to clean the place up and take out the trash in trade for a membership. Brian told him that if he represented the gym and won he wouldn't have to pay for a membership. Today, Branch has never paid for a membership at Metroflex.

Go behind the scenes with Branch as he smashes shoulders to failure at the original Metroflex Arlington fueled by a new sample of an Apollon Nutrition product that will be launched later this Summer in a collaboration with Branch Warren.
