Core Retention

Hooligan V6 is at its core very much the same pre workout -- energy, pumps, performance, and focus. However, it’s the subtle tweaks to existing ingredients and the addition of a few choice supplement to take Hooligan V6 over the top.

Hooligan V6 contains an additional 1,000mg of L-Citrulline, bringing the total citrulline up to 8,000mg per full serving! As you probably know, L-Citrulline is a superior option for increasing plasma arginine levels which is the “fuel” the body uses to generate nitric oxide. Greater nitric oxide production improves vasodilation, nutrient delivery, blood flow, and PUMPS!

We’ve also added 400mg grape seed extract for additional NO production support. Grape seed extract is a rich source of polyphenols that stimulate endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) -- the enzyme that catalyzes NO production in the body.

When combined with 8,000mg Citrulline, 1,500mg Agmatine Sulfate, and 500mg theobromine, this provides strong, long-lasting pumps coupled with increased performance as Citrulline (as well as Citrulline Malate) has been shown numerous times to improve athletic performance during both anaerobic (e.g. resistance training) and aerobic (“cardio”) exercise.

Theobromine is a chemical cousin of caffeine that provides smooth, sustained energy (which complements the fast-acting, harder-hitting energy imparted by caffeine). It also promotes vasodilation and aids cerebral blood flow, thereby supplying the brain with more oxygen and nutrients to maintain focus and cognitive function during and after intense physical activity.

Rhodiola is a centuries-old adaptogen that has a long history of use to combat stress and reduce fatigue, particularly in the face of mentally draining events (such as intense exercise or other forms of physical or psychological stress).

Coffeeberry is an ingredient that we’re huge fans of, and you’ve probably already used it and witnessed the positive effects yourself. It has previously gone by the name NeuroFactor, and it can be found at the same 100mg dose in Overtime -- our premium nootropic and productivity supplement. Coffeeberry is a whole coffee fruit extract that stimulates the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). BDNF is a protein in the brain that facilitates the growth, development, and maintenance of neurons.

Optimized Performance

We’ve already discussed the increased amounts of Citrulline, Rhodiola, and theobromine as well as the additions of grape seed extract and Coffeeberry. Collectively, these ingredients help to boost athletic performance, reduce mental and physical fatigue, and improve blood flow and nutrient delivery to working muscles.

Ultimately, this helps you to train harder, banging out more reps with more weight, yielding superior results -- which is the whole purpose of using a pre workout in the first place.

Beta alanine was brought down to 3.2g instead of 3.5g, though this will not have any significant impact on performance as beta alanine needs to be taken daily (between 3.2-6.4 grams per day consistently). You may notice slightly less tingles, but otherwise this will not affect the pre workout’s or your performance.
