Apollon Nutrition®, a globally distributed sport nutrition company, is proud to announce that Founder and CEO Robert Samborsky will be competing in the Weapons 9 – Dead Serious Promotions Warriors Cup 30. This historic event will be taking place February 18th and will be held at the Queens Theatre at Flushing Meadow Park in Corona, NY (Queens).
Despite being 41 years of age, Samborsky has decided to step into the ring once again to show that age is just a number. Being a nutrition company CEO to some is just a prestigious title, but for Samborsky it’s much more. It’s a way of life and an opportunity to break status quo.
Being able to compete at a high level and show to the world he’s willing to walk the walk using his own products as opposed to just talking the talk is the foundation Apollon Nutrition was built on. It’s not just products. It’s an attitude and a way of life. Some people compete on a stage and Samborsky likes to compete in a ring when not running multiple businesses with his wife Marina Samborsky, PharmD.
Only two years old, the brand has signed numerous athletes, such as IFBB Pro Bodybuilding Fred Smalls and UFC straw weight title contender Claudia Gadelha. Building a roster of hardworking and humble athletes that are accomplished is a cornerstone of the brand.
Samborsky himself has humble boxing roots which later in life, much later than the typical Muay Thai fighter, have evolved into a powerful display of kickboxing skills. Now, even though it may seem a little crazy, it’s time for Samborsky to demonstrate the true passion and courage Apollon was founded on.
Samborsky currently trains under head coach Kaensak Sor Ploenchit out of the AMA Fight Club in Whippany, NJ. Kaensak is one of a very select few fighters to earn championship titles at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums in Bangkok. With over 250 fights to his credit, he has the experience and knowledge to push Samborsky to be his absolute best for this contest. Samborksy also trains under Chris Tran of Weapons 9 in Middlesex, NJ.
Be on the look-out for Team Apollon to be in full effect at this prestigious event. It’s not often a supplement company owner steps into the ring to face a much younger and accomplished opponent. In fact, this is the first time in history such a display of courage has been made.
